Butterflies in The Tuesday Garden

Swallowtails are just gorgeous aren't they?

I found these two teeny, tiny, little peeper frogs hiding in a leaf of my citrus tree. You can just about see the other one peeking out at me from the back.

  1. I just love the large swallowtails. I see them on occasion in my backyard and feel like a kid chasing them around trying to get a photo. And now that I think about it, maybe that's why I only seem them occasionally - maybe they don't like being chased.

    Great pictures.

  2. Oh, neat, I love your frog picture! It's perfect. And the swallowtails are posing so gracefully. I'm always trying to get wildlife pictures, but it's so hard to do. Yours are beautiful!

  4. Eli, I had to pretend to be a statue until the Swallowtail was comfortable enough to land on the Milkweed!
Leslie, thanks - the little frogs were a lucky find.
Haddock, thanks for visiting - I love your videos of the dancing waters in Vegas!

  5. Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. You've done well with your butterfly photos, I rarely manage to capture a photo as they're just so fast flitting about. What a cute little frog.

  6. Cute little frog! So moist looking! We came home to a huge 6 inch long frog at the front door. It just wanted to sit there and the kids would not get out of the van until I got it to go. My daughter came out with my husbands walking stick and prodded it. Phew. It was exciting to see though. My neighbor propogates frogs in her water gardens....she likes the sound of them!!
